Looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and a little bit different? Welcome to Bartaggart Farm, a hidden countryside retreat tucked away amongst trees, rolling hills and a gently winding stream just outside Balmaclellan.

Dating back over 100 years, our charming farm offers three unique places to stay, each with its own character:

• 🏡 The Farm House – sleeping 6–8 guests

• 🛖 The Smithy – sleeping 2–4 guests

• 🏡 The Nook – sleeping 2–4 guests

Set in a truly rural location, the journey to Bartaggart Farm is part of the experience. Follow our beautiful, winding driveway for almost half a mile as it takes you through the property towards the cottages.

Bring Your Four-Legged Friends 🐾

We’re proud to be a dog-friendly destination. Each property has its own enclosed garden, and our dedicated secure dog exercise field has a 6ft-high fence and gate, giving your dogs plenty of room to run and explore safely.

With numerous walking and cycling trails nearby, there's plenty to discover right from your doorstep.

And while you're here, don't forget to come and say hello to our four friendly donkeys — Roger, Scotty, Apple and Daisy! 🫏 They’re always happy to meet our guests.
